We believe that framework and systems are only as good as the team that implements them. In general, we shy away from being overly strict with following certain frameworks, methodologies as a path to success. We believe that there is no right or wrong framework or method for being successful in business process implementations – the most important thing to ask oneself is “what makes sense for us”. Be clear on what one is trying to solve, and make sure everyone in the project team is also clear on the vision.
That being said, we really like using RACI and applying this to a business process. As the saying goes, if you have not ‘RACIed’ a process, then it is not a real process*.
*Definition of process: a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.
